Vintage JCPenney Boxed Set of 6 Brass and Wood Steak Knives Solid Tang Double Rivet Excellent condition of all, some tarnish which can be easily removed. This set is beautiful. Good weight, super sharp, serrated edge, beautiful solid brass blade with what appears to be mahogany handles. The knife itself is a solid piece of brass including the hilt , tang and end piece. These are in near mint condition. Knife length is 19.5 cm (7-3/4" appx) Blade width 2 cm (appx 3/4") Handle width 14 x 14 mm (appx 5/8") The box is faux wood with red lining. I could not find out when these were made, but judging from the box style, I would say 1950s to 70s roughly. Likely a special edition set.
