This is a heavy duty carbon steel meat cleaver. Stamped with "BRIDDELL Solid Steel Made In U.S.A." I have no idea how old this is. It is very heavy and has seen plenty of use in its day but still has many lifetimes of hard use left in it. The wood handle scales are somewhat loose. I'm guessing whoever buys a vintage meat cleaver like this might be the type of person that would want to clean it up and possibly replace the scales.
