This lovely vintage American bedspread dates from around the 1940s–1950s and is woven in a cotton blend with a charming Jacobean-style floral pattern. I'm not sure what the fiber content it, it feels to be to be a rayon cotton ~ The design shows scrolling branches, tulips, and stylized blooms in gentle tones of green, rose, gold, and cream on a natural ground ~ The edges are beautifully finished with a gathered ruffle that adds movement and texture, giving it that cozy, timeworn farmhouse feel ~ The textile has a pleasing weight and drape, and the colors have mellowed with age into the prettiest muted pastels. It’s perfect for adding warmth and history to a cottage, country, or shabby interior ~ lovely too for upholstery or sewing projects where soft patina is desired ~ MEASUREMENTS: This bedspread measures approximately 91 inches wide by 107 inches long.
