This is a nicely built little mixer, no complaints there. The issue I had was that the beaters were not balanced or do not run true but wobble slightly, thus causing a noticeable vibration and roughness to the operation of the mixer (see video, note the left beater). The mixer does run slow enough IMO for cautious mixing, but lacks real speed on the high end. I am not a real fan of wire beaters (vs flat metal or V shaped metal), as I believe they do not aerate as efficiently, IMO. The egg whites I show did reach soft peaks but lacked volume. I think the mixer is not overly noisy, and is in fact quieter than my 30+ year old Sunbeam. The cord is nice and long, weight and balance is good, the beaters and whisk seem somewhat minimal in thickness and sturdiness. I generously give this a 3 star, if it were not for the beaters, I believe it's probably about 4 or 4+. terrific design and strength 14 Sep 21 I make 4 large loaves of 100% bread at a time and have burnt out two highly respected large mixers over the years as well as one hand beater I used by default for just the beginning stages of mixing dough. The first big mixer lasted for a long time, handling well uses it's manufacturer said it could. It was a work horse, but nothing lasts forever. The second one was much shorter lived, and I learned that newer models just aren't as sturdy as the older ones. So I didn't want to invest in another expensive machine that isn't built to last anyway. I bought this beater recently because it claimed to have a turbo feature with its motor, offered bread hooks and other attachments and was WAY less expensive than the big mixers. I thought if I burned this one out I could replace it 8 times before I caught up with the higher costs for the big ones. Besides I didn't want to haul out a monster machine for small mixing needs. The first time I used this beater I knew I'd found a solution. The dough was amazingly smooth and elastic. The engine didn't labor at all. I only had to knead in a little flour at the end rather than many cups needed, of course, with the hand beater. The turbo feature engaged more power, and the mixer easily handled the dough. It also has a measuring cup/clear plastic base to store attachments in and can be stored on a cabinet shelf instead of taking up limited counter space. It's a winner. Gears Stripped on the First Use 4 Sep 21 I bought this mixer in spite of other negative reviews. One had mentioned that speed level 1 (of 1-5) was faster than her old mixer on its highest setting. Boy, she wasn't kidding! I tried to cream my butter/sugar for a cake, but bits and pieces flew out of the bowl onto the walls and countertop (yes, I was using a deep bowl). I used the mixer throughout the recipe, but it was nothing but a mess. It was spinning so fast, and not really mixing well. I had to scrape down the sides several times--more than what I consider normal. I finally stopped using it because I didn't want to over mix the batter and have a dry/tough cake. I moved on to the frosting and this is where the gears stripped out. Icing, people, we're talking just plain ol' icing here. What a disappointment. I had to get out my Kitchenaide stand mixer f'or the icing and had to transfer the icing from one bowl to the mixer bowl. More mess to clean up. I wanted to love this mixer, but when level 1 is throwing your mix all over the walls, something's wrong. A piece of junk. Now, the silver lining. My purchase was out of the refund window. I called customer service and talked to a nice young man named David. There was no hassle, no argument. He issued a refund and wished me a nice day. Thank you, David, for the courteous customer service. Hold on Tight! 26 Jul 21 I really love the IDEA of this mixer - everything contained nice and neat. However, it is not easy to use. The first time I tried it I set the speed at 1 - thinking nice and slow. The mixer took off so fast it nearly flew out of my hand! I thought maybe I have the numbers mixed up. Maybe 1 is the fastest speed. Nope - it just gets faster and faster. You know how you can usually pull the beaters up and let them spin a few times to get every last drop off of them? No way. Stuff will go flying. I don't really see any way you can adjust the speed while the beaters are whirling. I had to stop completely and then try to adjust. So - if you need a very fast mixer, this will be perfect for you. If you just need to blend gently, get your spoon out. OH - it also has a TURBO button. Seriously?If you decide to try this model and have a different experience, please let me know! Maybe mine is just malfunctioning. Strong Motor, Easy To Use, Nice Comfortable Grip 7 Jul 21 This mixer is great! It has a strong motor, easy function button reach, without the stick out knob to be accidentally switched off or on It comes with five attachments, two egg-beaters, two bread dough and one whisk. The cord is a convenient length. Stand up base so you don't have to lean it onto something. Storage compartment is large as you can see, you do not have to precisely adjust the attachments to make it all fit with the cord. The mixer does NOT snap into the base. It's sits in the base on a small ledge. So do not pick up one handed from the shelf/cabinet. I am very happy with the strong motor! No bogging down, no melting plastic smell. I've gone through a lot of mixers, as I bake A LOT, and this seems to be one of the best and strongest yet!I will edit/update this review if I run into any issues. cool little product 12 Jun 21 arrived on time. what a neat little package well wrapped and so cool that it all fits together. Unit sits on a clear plastic bin that has measurings on the side for recipes.. all of the beaters ( there are 2 beaters, two stirrers and one whisk) fir right into the bin. runs great.plenty of speeds to choose from and button push to eject beaters .. perfect for those small jobs when you dont want to get out the huge stand mixer. I love it. you will to. and great price to boot Poor Quality 23 May 21 Since I received this mixer I've used it 2x. See attached picture. The lettering and speed numbers rubbed off. Not from soap, but simply by moving the selector speed. POOR QUALITY! Guess you get what you paid for... right? The mixer seems to have enough power, controls are easy to use. The storage container doesn't lock or snap in place to hold the accessories so when removing it from the cabinet you need to grab it by the base. In my opinion not much thought was put in to the design. The attachments seem to be light duty, not the same guage metal as my old Hamilton Beach. So, because of the obvious poor quality and lack of thought put in to the design it gets 2 stars from me. No, I would not buy this again nor would I recommend it unless you're on a budget and need a hand mixer to get you by. Died in less than 2 months with only 4 uses 20 May 21 I purchased this to use for small mixes (cakes, dough, pies, etc) where a simple hand mixer would suffice instead of the 2 large mixers I use when cooking for large gatherings. I ordered this unit specifically for the high wattage it listed with the hope that it would last a long time. It was compact and fit nicely in my kitchen cabinet (vs the pantry where the other 2 large mixers are located), which made it extremely convenient. But It died halfway through the 4th batch/time I used it, forcing me to pull out one of those large mixers to finish the job.If a hand mixer can't handle simple mixes like cakes, pies, cornbread, or dough, then what good is it? Great mixer - only knocking a star for the single whisk 13 May 21 Purchased as a replacement for a 15+ year old KitchenAid that was on its last legs. I like the dough hooks and beaters better than those that came with the old KitchenAid but the big drawback with this model is there is only one whisk whereas the KitchenAid had two. Unfortunately, the old whisks don't fit this new mixer. So making meringue will probably take longer than it should. May see if I can buy a 2nd whisk to use with this - makes absolutely no sense to me that this model only has one. But the dough hooks it came with are fantastic - easily made a batch of flatbreads with them today & was a tremendous help. Also easy to hold and weighted perfectly - this will definitely be used frequently. First batch of cookies completed, hopefully many more to come!!! 28 Apr 21 I purchased this hand mixer to replace one that was at least 25yrs old. Upon opening the box I could feel the weight and quality of this item. I immediately washed and used it to make a batch of chocolate chip cookies. It did not disappoint!!!
